Connectly: Video Chat – Terms of Use

Welcome to Connectly. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Connectly video chat app. By installing or using Connectly, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app.

Eligibility

• Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) to use Connectly. If you are under 18, you are not allowed to use the app.
  
  

• Legal Restrictions: Do not use Connectly where it is prohibited by local laws. You are responsible for knowing and following any rules or restrictions in your country regarding online chat services.
  
  

User Responsibilities

• Account Use: If you register an account, use it for your personal use only. Do not share your login details with others or use someone else’s account.
  
  

• Behavior: You are fully responsible for your words and actions on Connectly. Make sure your conduct complies with these rules and all applicable laws. Treat others with respect.
  
  

• Content: Anything you share, say, or do on the app is your responsibility. Do not include illegal information or content in your profile.
  
  

• Permissions: Connectly requires access to your device’s camera and microphone to work. You must grant the app permission to use your camera and microphone; without these permissions, video chatting will not function.
  
  

• Safety: Maintain a reliable internet connection and updated device to use the app properly. Be cautious when sharing personal information with other users. If you see abusive or illegal behavior, report it using the app’s in-built tools.
  
  

Prohibited Conduct

While using Connectly, you must not do any of the following:

• Harassment and Hate: Engage in harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or any form of discriminatory or hostile behavior. You may not insult, demean, or target others based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or any protected characteristic.
  
  

• Illegal Activities: Use the app for illegal purposes. Do not promote or facilitate unlawful conduct (for example, drug deals, weapons, human trafficking) or provide instructions for committing crimes.
  
  

• Sexual Content: Share or solicit pornographic, sexually explicit, or exploitative content. Sexual activities should only occur between consenting adults. Do not involve minors or exploit others in sexual or violent ways.
  
  

• Violent or Self-Harm Content: Post any content that encourages violence, self-harm, or dangerous behavior. Threatening or inciting violence against others is strictly forbidden.
  
  

• Spam and Scams: Send unsolicited promotions, advertisements, chain letters, or spam. Do not use Connectly to harass others with repeated unwanted messages or to impersonate others.
  
  

• Malware and Hacking: Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code. Do not attempt to hack or disrupt the service or access any part of Connectly that you’re not authorized to use.
  
  

• Privacy Violations: Do not post private personal information (like home address, phone number, financial info) of yourself or others without explicit permission. Respect others’ privacy at all times.
  
  

• Impersonation and Fraud: Do not pretend to be someone else (including a Connectly representative) or mislead others about your identity. Any form of fraud or deception is prohibited.
  
  

These lists are not exhaustive. We reserve the right to determine what is unacceptable. Violating any of the above rules may result in account suspension or other actions.

Content Disclaimer

• No Moderation: All video calls, chats, and profiles are user-generated. Connectly does not review, pre-screen, or endorse any user content or chat conversations. We do not monitor chats in real time.
  
  

• User Responsibility: You understand that you alone are responsible for any content you create, share, or receive on Connectly. We are not responsible for the behavior or content of other users.
  
  

• No Endorsement: Any statements, opinions, or actions by other users are not endorsed by Connectly. We do not guarantee the truthfulness, safety, or reliability of anything shared by users.
  
  

• Use at Your Own Risk: By using Connectly, you acknowledge that all interactions with other users are at your own risk. If someone says or does something inappropriate, you should stop the chat. Connectly is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage resulting from user interactions.
  
  

• Reporting: You are encouraged to report any prohibited or harmful behavior using the app’s reporting feature. While we review reports, remember that we cannot catch every violation in advance.
  
  

Account Suspension and Enforcement

• Violations: If you break these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account and delete any content you’ve posted. We can do this at our sole discretion, with or without warning.
  
  

• Inappropriate Content: Connectly reserves the right to remove any content or cancel access that we believe violates these rules or may harm other users or the service. This includes deleting content that we consider offensive, illegal, or unethical.

• Your Content: You retain ownership of anything you create or post. However, by using Connectly, you grant us a limited license to use and transmit your content for the purpose of providing the service. For example, we need to display your video and audio streams to other users during a chat.
  
  

• Respect Others’ IP: Do not share content (videos, images, music, etc.) on Connectly that you do not have the rights to use. If you believe your copyrighted work is being used without authorization, please notify us immediately. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. By continuing to use Connectly after changes are made, you accept the updated Terms.
