How We Use Your Information
- Account creation and authentication — to create and manage your Bondvia account
- Profile and matching — to display your profile to other users and power the swipe-based discovery and random match features
- Communication features — to enable text chat and live video calls between matched users
- Content moderation — to detect and block inappropriate content before it reaches our servers, and to maintain a safe platform
- Subscription management — to track your VIP subscription status and deliver premium features
- Safety and security — to investigate reports, enforce our Community Guidelines, and prevent fraud or abuse
- App improvement — to analyse usage patterns and improve the app experience
- Legal compliance — to meet our obligations under applicable laws including GDPR and COPPA
GDPR Legal Basis (Article 6)

Content Moderation
Bondvia operates a block-before-upload moderation system. All image analysis runs on your device using Google ML Kit before any image is uploaded to our servers. If an image is flagged, it is rejected on your device and never transmitted to Bondvia infrastructure.
1. ML Kit Face Detection — verifies a valid face is present in profile photos.
2. ML Kit Pose Detection — detects body-focused images that may indicate inappropriate content.
3. ML Kit Image Labeling — identifies body-related content labels, including detection with and without a face visible.
4. Skin Pixel Ratio Analysis — measures skin-tone pixel percentage (35% threshold for Google login users; 30% for Guest users).
If any of these signals indicates inappropriate content, the image is blocked immediately. Nothing inappropriate ever reaches Bondvia servers. If a photo that was previously uploaded is subsequently detected as inappropriate, it is blurred in-app for all other users and scheduled for removal.
During live video calls, ML Kit monitors face visibility in real time. If your face disappears from the frame, the video feed is automatically blurred for the other user.
Third-Party Services
Bondvia uses the following third-party services. Each provider processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

All ML Kit processing occurs entirely on your device. Google ML Kit does not transmit images to external servers — analysis happens locally and instantly.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With other users — your profile information (name, photo, gender, interests, bio) is visible to other Bondvia users as part of normal app functionality
- With service providers — the third-party services listed in Section 4 receive only the data necessary to provide their specific function
- For legal compliance — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public
- Child safety escalation — reports involving child safety may be escalated to law enforcement and relevant authorities as required by law
Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the app.
When you request account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:
- Profile information (name, photo, gender, date of birth, interests, bio)
- Photo album images
- Match history and liked / passed profiles
- Chat messages and conversation history
- Account preferences and settings
Deletion is processed within 30 days of your request. A 30-day grace period is offered — you may log back in within this window to cancel the deletion and restore your account.
Chat messages that you sent to matched users may be retained in the matched user’s conversation view as it is their data. Your display name will change to [Deleted Account] and your profile photo will be replaced with a default avatar.
Some data may be retained for a limited period for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes even after account deletion.
Subscriptions & Billing
Bondvia offers optional VIP subscriptions processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. Bondvia never directly handles, stores, or accesses your payment card details.
- Weekly VIP — Rs 300 per week, auto-renewing
- Monthly VIP — Rs 600 per month, auto-renewing (3-day free trial, 50% OFF badge)
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription
- Google Play Billing retains purchase tokens; Bondvia stores only a token reference for billing management
- Guest login users cannot subscribe — a Google login is required for VIP access
Children's Privacy
Bondvia does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has accessed our service or if you are a parent or guardian who discovers your child has created an account, please contact us immediately at strangerchat.partner@gmail.com and we will promptly delete the account and all associated data.
This policy is designed to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable child protection regulations globally.
- Biometric data: Bondvia does not collect biometric data (fingerprints, facial geometry, voice prints, or any biometric identifiers).
- Geolocation: Country-level only, derived from IP address for the country filter feature. No precise GPS location is collected at any time.
- Google Advertising ID (GAID): Bondvia does not collect GAID. Bondvia does not serve advertisements — there is no ad network integrated in this app.
- Minor data: We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Our platform enforces an 18+ hard block at registration.
- Behavioral profiling of minors: Not applicable. Bondvia does not permit minor accounts and does not build behavioral profiles of minors.
- Data minimization: We are committed to collecting only data that is strictly necessary for platform operation. We do not collect, store, or retain data beyond what is required to provide our services.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Play Age Signals API
Bondvia participates in Google Play's Age Signals API (effective 2026) as an additional layer of age verification to enforce our 18+ access requirement.
- Purpose: The API provides age-related signals from Google Play to help verify that a user meets the 18+ minimum age threshold
- What it signals: Whether the user is 18 or older — based on Google account data. The actual age or date of birth is never shared with Bondvia.
- Data not stored: Age signals are not retained by Bondvia beyond the verification event. They are used only at the time of account access.
- Processing: Age signals are processed by Google on Google's infrastructure, consistent with Google's Privacy Policy
- Relationship to other verification: The Age Signals API supplements our birthdate-based age verification at registration. Both mechanisms work together to prevent under-18 access.

Depending on the US state where you reside, you may have additional privacy rights beyond those described in Section 9. We honor these rights for all eligible users.
