Valid Legal Process Required
Bondvia requires valid legal process before disclosing user data. We accept the following forms of legal process:
- Subpoena — for basic subscriber information (e.g., account registration date, last known IP address)
- Court Order — for transactional records and non-content data
- Search Warrant — required for content data, message content, and comprehensive account records
- Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) — for requests from foreign law enforcement agencies
All requests must be issued by a court of competent jurisdiction and comply with applicable law. Requests that do not meet these requirements will be rejected.

Data We Do Not Hold
Bondvia operates with privacy by design. The following data is not collected or retained and cannot be provided regardless of legal process:
- Real legal name or government-issued ID — Bondvia collects display names (auto-imported from Google or user-entered); legal names and ID documents are never collected
- Email address for Guest login users — Guest login is supported without email registration; these accounts have no email on record
- Video call recordings — WebRTC calls are never recorded by Bondvia
- Biometric data — No biometric identifiers are collected at any time
- Precise GPS location — Country-level only, derived from IP address; no real-time GPS coordinates are stored
- Financial card details — All billing is handled exclusively by Google Play Billing; Bondvia never accesses payment card information
Emergency Disclosure — Imminent Harm
Bondvia may voluntarily disclose user information to law enforcement without a court order or subpoena when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to prevent:
- An imminent risk of death or serious physical harm to any person
- Imminent threat of violence against a specific identified target
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation involving an identifiable minor
Emergency requests must identify the specific nature of the emergency, the user(s) involved, and the requesting officer’s contact details. We will respond to genuine emergencies as quickly as possible — typically within hours.
Preservation Requests
Law enforcement may submit a preservation request to temporarily preserve user data while formal legal process is being obtained. Preservation requests:
- Must identify the specific account(s) to preserve
- Must be submitted by an official law enforcement agency
- Result in preservation of the specified data for 90 days, extendable upon request
- Do not result in data disclosure — a valid legal order is still required to obtain the preserved data
- Must be followed by formal legal process within the preservation period
How to Submit a Request
All law enforcement requests must be submitted by email. We do not accept fax, postal mail, or requests submitted via social media.
Response Timeframe
| Request Type | Target Response Time |
|---|---|
| Emergency — Imminent Harm | Within a few hours (best effort) |
| Preservation Request | 2–3 business days |
| Subpoena | 7–14 business days |
| Court Order | 7–14 business days |
| Search Warrant | 7–14 business days |
Response times may vary based on request complexity, request volume, and the need to consult legal counsel. We will notify you if a request requires additional time.
CSAE & NCMEC Reporting Obligations
Bondvia has a legal obligation under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A to report apparent Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via its CyberTipline.
- All detected or reported CSAM/CSAE incidents are reported to NCMEC regardless of whether a law enforcement request has been received.
- NCMEC forwards reports to appropriate US and international law enforcement agencies.
- Bondvia preserves relevant account data associated with CSAE reports and cooperates fully with subsequent law enforcement investigations.
- We maintain a Designated Safety Contact — reachable at strangerchat.partner@gmail.com — who handles all CSAE-related law enforcement inquiries.
